The free flowing Horsehair is complete with six chained bullion tassels all of which are in fine condition. The cantle is constructed in two parts with a solid brass backing plate with the "Wm Anderson" maker tablet impressed to the upper / outer rim & a striking silver Regimental Badge with battle honours. The wine red coloured purse is complete with original belt loops, purse pocket flap & endorsed with "Wm Anderson" makers details
Transit Tin;
The Oval shaped Transit Tin retains the majority of its original finish & exhibits no dents. The lid is secured by a sliding "bolt" locking mechanism with wooden dowel fixing. On the lid is the makers tablet , brass name plate & carrying handle. The inside of the tin is fully lined in addition to a separate oval shammy style cloth.
In our opinion it would be extremely difficult to up grade the Sporran /Tin
