Egyptian 1882 Medal with El TEB TAMAAI & THE NILE 1884-5 with Khedives Star

Duncan Fraser was born on 16th Feb 1863 at 7 Lower Denburn, Aberdeen. Both parents were Gaelic speaker and originated from Dunain, Inverness-shire. Duncan's father also named Duncan was a civilian kilt maker to the Gordon Highlanders. At the age of 18 young Duncan, Riviter Apprentice joined the Gordon Highlanders serving with the Sudan in 1884/5 with the 1st Bat which saw action at El Teb & Taami which he survived
